Job summary

QCS Staffing Ltd in Cambridge is seeking an Electronic Hardware Engineer on a 2-year contract to own the complete board-level lifecycle—from requirements to production release. You will guide PCB layout, prototype bring-up, and firmware integration while ensuring EMI/EMC compliance and regulatory readiness.

The role requires a strong background in low-power, mixed-signal electronics with I2C, SPI and UART interfaces and hands-on experience across design verification and validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Extensive board-level hardware development from spec to production.
• Experience in schematic design, PCB layout guidance, bring-up and validation.
• Strong low-power, mixed-signal design with I2C/SPI/UART familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete board-level hardware lifecycle from requirements to production release.
• Lead prototype bring-up, hardware debugging and firmware integration.
• Deliver low-power mixed-signal designs meeting EMI/EMC and regulatory requirements.
• Create specifications, calculations, test plans and design records.
