Location: Bolton (predominately onsite)

Duration: 6 month initial contract

Role details:

Our client, operating within the defence and security sector, is seeking an Electronics Design (Test Design Support) Engineer to join their team based in Bolton on a contract basis. This is a unique opportunity to significantly impact the production activities at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as a liaison between design teams and manufacturing teams
• Providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle
• Working on advanced missile programmes and subsystems
• Supporting launcher assemblies and other unique opportunities
• Delivering specific work packages, preparing bids, and managing costs
• Engaging with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of outputs
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
• Investigating root causes of design issues and proposing corrective actions

Job Requirements:

• Background in electronics design
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF), Electronics Design, and PCB
• Proven design experience in digital and analogue electronics, power electronics, RF & antenna, and interconnects
• Experience in test systems and safety electronics
• Strong schematic and PCB design skills
• Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation
