Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact in the energy industry.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading design activities including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Performing computer simulations of solar PV systems to optimize performance and energy production.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs, recommending technical or process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, or performance.

What we need from you:

• 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Engineering/design skills with a proven track record on various PV projects, both rooftop and ground mount.
• Familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
• Experience in detailed design aspects including wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint.
• Proficiency with software tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and other modelling software, with willingness to learn new tools.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation concerning HSSE, construction, and services installation.
• Understanding and formal training in CDM responsibilities.
