Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer for a permanent role near Tewkesbury. You will design, develop and test electronic hardware with a strong emphasis on PCB layout using Altium Designer, taking projects from concept through to production.

The ideal candidate will have multi‑layer PCB experience, IPC/EMC awareness, and programming or scripting skills (Python, C, or C#). A collaborative environment offers progression and manufacturing exposure.

Qualifications

• Experience designing electronic circuits and hardware for production.
• Proficient with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Knowledge of IPC standards and EMC compliance.
• Experience with circuit simulation tools such as SPICE.
• Programming or scripting knowledge in Python, C, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support electronic circuits and hardware systems.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts with Altium Designer.
• Select components and manage libraries and footprints.
• Support prototype build, board bring-up and testing.
• Document BOMs, schematics, and test procedures.
• Coordinate with PCB manufacturers and assembly partners.
