Job summary

Catering in Wymondham, Norfolk, is seeking an experienced Stock and Inventory Controller to support a busy technical stores operation. The role involves receiving components, maintaining stock records and preparing kits for production.

Qualifications

• Experience working with electronic components.
• Experience using Bills of Materials and technical pick lists.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and record incoming deliveries.
• Check components against POs, specs and delivery docs.
• Inspect components for part numbers, packaging, and condition.
• Identify and quarantine damaged or counterfeit components.
• Book stock onto the inventory management system.
• Pick and prepare component kits using BOMs and pick lists.
• Ensure correct quantities before issuing kits to production.
• Handle sensitive electronic components with ESD precautions.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or reorders.
• Carry out cycle counts and stock checks.
• Prepare shipping labels and dispatch paperwork.
• Coordinate courier collections and ensure on-time dispatch.
• Provide light production/administration/dispatch support during busy periods.
