Job summary

Marine Data Systems is seeking a General Electronic Assembly Technician to hand assemble electronic instruments and cable assemblies. You will read engineering drawings, solder components, test assemblies and record results, and support other departments to meet production deadlines.

The role can be either part-time or full-time, with salary dependent on experience. A practical, hands-on technician with good IT skills and a clear commitment to health and safety is ideal for this position in

• Must have previous experience in similar field.
• Experience of working to project lead deadlines.
• Good practical and technical skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assembling electronic equipment.
• Conducting tests and recording test results.
• Fault finding and repairs of electronic equipment.
• Soldering tasks as required.
• Maintaining production quality standards.
• Provide help and support to other departments to meet customer demand and deadlines.
