Responsibilities

• Operate selective soldering equipment for THT components.
• Work accurately to build instructions, drawings and production procedures.
• Ensure assemblies meet the required quality and build standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.

Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced Electronic Assembler to join their production team. The role will primarily focus on hand soldering Through Hole Technology (THT) components to PCB assemblies, alongside PCB inspection, rework, cable assembly and selective soldering.

Electronic Assembler Operator Roles and Responsibilities:

• Hand soldering THT components to PCB assemblies
• Carrying out SMT hand soldering where required
• Inspecting PCB assemblies produced by other team members, including tacking and first-off inspections
• Completing PCB rework on both THT and SMT components
• Preparing, processing and assembling wires and cables
• Operating selective soldering equipment for THT components
• Working accurately to build instructions, drawings and production procedures
• Ensuring assemblies meet the required quality and build standards
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area

Electronic Assembler

Operator Ideal Candidate:

• Strong and consistent hand soldering skills
• Previous experience within electronics assembly or PCB manufacturing
• Experience reading and following work/build instructions
• Ability to work accurately and consistently to production timescales
• Experience working to J-STD-001 soldering standards
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
• Experience with PCB rework, cable assembly or selective soldering would be advantageous

Electronic Assembler Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday, 07:30 to 16:00 37.5 hours per week
• Flexible working hours
