Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Swindon is seeking 8 Electronic Assemblers to manufacture and test PCBs and wiring harnesses with precision, ensuring correct assembly of electronic components and delivering reliable electronic solutions.

You will be responsible for electro-mechanical assembly, loading firmware/software, and verifying quality. Training in Portugal for 2 weeks is fully paid, with HQ in EU and 360 staff.

Qualifications

• TESP in Electronics or related field preferred.
• Experience in electronics assembly preferred.
• Ability to read PCB drawings and schematics.
• Experience with testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters).
• Proactive and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture PCBs and wiring harnesses to high standards.
• Electro-mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies into systems.
• Load and verify firmware/software on hardware.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Test with multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.
• Create and maintain production documentation.

Position: Electronic Assembler

Working hours: 9:00 am till 17:00

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum

Location: Swindon

Type of position: permanent

Sector of work: Defence (candidate will be subject to security clearance)

We are now seeking to recruit 8 Electronic Assemblers to join leading innovation leader in unmanned technology, where cutting-edge advancements meet unparalleled innovation. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for manufacture and test PCBs and wiring harnesses with quality and precision, ensuring the correct assembly of electronic components and contributing to the delivery of reliable electronic solutions.

This is a new start up business with HQ in EU with headcount of 360 staff to occupy the Swindon site. The appropriate candidate will be prepared to spend 2 weeks training in Portugal ( all flights, accommodation, training and food is fully paid for)

Mission

• To manufacture and test PCBs and wiring harnesses with quality and precision, ensuring the correct assembly of electronic components, contributing to the delivery of high-performance electronic solutions.
• You will be responsible for the electro-mechanical assembly of electronic sub-assemblies into complete systems and box-build products, ensuring every unit meets the highest standards of quality and reliability, ensuring the accurate upload and verification of firmware and software.
• Manufacture PCBs, Wiring harnesses and the electro-mechanical assembly and box build integration of electronic components;
• Load and configure software/firmware on to electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and assembly documentation;
• Assemble and solder electronic components;
• Use of electronic test equipment such as Multimeters, Power supplies and Oscilloscopes to provide product functionality and acceptance;
• Perform testing and inspection activities to ensure product quality and functionality;
• Diagnose product failures and supporting effective fault resolution within the production environment;

• Create, modify and maintain production work instructions, standard operating procedures and manufacturing documentation;

Requirements

• Professional Course or Higher Professional Technical Course (TESP) in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrotechnics, or a related field (preferred);
• Previous professional experience in similar roles within the electronics industry (preferred);
• Familiarity with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters;
• Ability to read and interpret PCB drawings and schematics (preferred);
• Basic knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes (preferred);
• Strong team spirit and ability to integrate effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
• High level of responsibility, organization, and task-planning skills;
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
