Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an Electronics Technician for a permanent, on-site role in Swindon. The candidate will manufacture, assemble and test PCBs, wiring harnesses and electro‑mechanical systems to high quality standards. You will load software/firmware, interpret drawings, and use equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters.

Reporting to the Electronics Manager, you will ensure fault-free assemblies, maintain documentation and support continuous improvement in production processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics manufacturing assembly or test environments.
• Read and interpret electronic schematics and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Relevant qualification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, solder and test PCBs, wiring harnesses and electronic sub-assemblies.
• Complete electro-mechanical assembly and box-build integration.
• Load and configure software and firmware onto electronic systems.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics and assembly instructions.
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.
• Carry out inspection, testing and fault-finding activities.
• Diagnose production issues and support effective fault resolution.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and work instructions.

Job Role – Electronics Technician

Reporting to the Electronics Manager the Electronics Technician will be responsible for the manufacture, assembly and testing of PCBs, wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical systems, ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and performance
