Job summary

RoBAT Ltd., a subsidiary of Mycronic, is based at our Macclesfield, Cheshire headquarters, designing and manufacturing high-value robotic machines for PCB testing. We seek an Electronic Assembler to join a hands-on team, performing precise soldering, board assembly and cable/wiring tasks within a collaborative workshop.

Qualifications

  • Electronic and electro-mechanical assembly experience
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments
  • Basic electrical testing and troubleshooting skills using multimeters and test equipment

Responsibilities

  • Hand solder small components and circuit boards.
  • Solder larger ground areas, managing the heat required for a clean finish.
  • Use wire strippers and hand crimp tools to prepare cables.
  • Screw PCBs into mechanical assemblies and housings using small hand tools.
  • Assemble cables, wire harnesses, and complete power box wiring.
  • Maintain focus and quality standards during steady production workflows.
  • Follow standard work instructions to ensure consistent
  • Keen eye for faults, misalignment, or soldering flaws during assembly.
  • Handle delicate electronic components safely.

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable highly focused Electronic Assembler to join our team. The role involves a good mix of precise hand soldering on small components, assembling circuit boards into mechanical housings, and building cables and electrical assemblies for our robotic systems. It suits someone who enjoys a steady, predictable daily routine and likes working on varied technical assembly tasks, with opportunities to expand your skills across other workshop areas.

Key Responsibilities
