Job summary

RoBAT Ltd., a subsidiary of Mycronic, is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a hands-on, fast-moving team based in Macclesfield. You will work on electronic hardware design, develop firmware for microcontrollers, and contribute to high‑value robotic testing systems.

The role offers varied responsibilities, collaboration across departments, and opportunities to progress quickly. Occasional worldwide travel may be necessary to support overseas customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic hardware design and development.
• Microcontroller development experience, including PIC firmware.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Fault finding and repair of complex electronic systems.
• Exposure to robotics or testing systems desirable.
• Understanding of Signal Integrity.

Responsibilities

• Apply electronic design expertise to develop new products and improvements.
• Assist with changes due to obsolescence, cost saving, and performance.
• Liaise with other departments for rapid technical responses.
• Prepare design documentation and transfer/manufacturing docs.
• Research new ideas and technologies for RoBAT products.
• Construct and evaluate prototypes.
• Occasional worldwide travel may be required.
