Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electronic Assembler for a Hereford-based project. The role focuses on wiring looms and electrical connections for drone systems, including soldering and connector termination.

All required equipment will be provided, and the position is a short-term contract with potential extension. The successful candidate will demonstrate hands-on expertise in electrical assembly, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work to precise engineering

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble wiring looms and cable assemblies.

Electronic Assembler

Location: Hereford
Pay: £20.00 - £30.00 per hour, dependent on experience
Contract: Temporary, initially 4 weeks with the possibility of extension
Vacancies: 1-2 positions available

Our client are recruiting for experienced Electronic Assemblers to support an engineering team on an exciting short-term project based in Hereford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong hands-on electronic assembly experience, particularly wiring loom manufacture, soldering and connector crimping, to work on the build of electrical assemblies for technically advanced drone systems.

All necessary equipment will be provided.

The Role

Working alongside the engineering team, you will primarily be responsible for the assembly and manufacture of wiring looms and electrical connections used within drone systems.

The role will require a high level of attention to detail and good practical electronic assembly skills, particularly around soldering and connector termination.

Responsibilities will include:

• Building and assembling wiring looms and cable assemblies
• Soldering electrical wires and components
• Crimping connectors and terminals
• Preparing cables, wires and connectors for assembly
• Completing electronic and electrical assembly work
• Working accurately to engineering requirements and technical information
• Using appropriate hand tools and assembly equipment
• Inspecting completed assemblies to ensure a high standard of workmanship
• Supporting engineers with project build requirements
• Maintaining excellent quality and attention to detail throughout the assembly process
