Job summary
A multi-disciplinary electrical engineering service provider is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Fitter in Sheffield. You will be responsible for the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of rotating machines such as motors and generators. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering qualification and experience in an electromechanical environment, with a focus on quality and customer care. This is a full-time role with a variety of benefits including private healthcare and enhanced leave entitlement.
Qualifications
Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (C&G, NVQ or equivalent).
Previous experience within an electromechanical environment.
Ability to use industry equipment correctly and safely during the repair process.
Responsibilities
Inspect, strip, and disassemble rotating machines including AC/DC electric motors.
Carry out high-quality repairs with a focus on first-time fix.
Prepare and assemble machines ready for test runs in line with QA standards.
Skills
Mechanical Engineering qualification
Experience in electromechanical environment
Hands-on knowledge of rotating equipment
Experience with bearing inspection and fitting
Strong communication skills
Education
