Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join the Repairs Team. You will inspect, fault-find, repair and refurbish electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs returned from service, developing an understanding of real-world performance.

You will gain hands-on experience with Saab Seaeye's ROV product range, working from component level through to final testing and sign-off, while applying structured fault-finding and root cause analysis in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting and repairing electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• A methodical approach to fault finding and root cause analysis.
• Experience with PCBs refurbishment and component-level repair.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and rebuild electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs.
• Perform fault-finding using drawings, schematics and test equipment.
• Carry out soldering and wiring to required standards.
• Work on hydraulic assemblies and assist with pressure and leak testing.
• Complete repairs accurately, meeting quality and delivery targets.
• Identify recurring faults and feed back improvement opportunities.
• Maintain repair records and traceability in company systems.
• Support 6S, lean working and continuous improvement.
• Assist training of colleagues and customers where needed.
