Job summary

Thales in Templecombe, UK, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Inspector to join the Goods Inwards team. You will inspect electro-mechanical products and work packages from suppliers to ensure compliance with customer quality standards and approve products for dispatch.

Your attention to detail will support the delivery process and globally, ensuring high-quality items reach customers in the UK and overseas. This site-based role offers a competitive benefits package and 37-hour week (Mon-Thu).

Qualifications

• Inspection experience on Electro-mechanical items.
• Able to interpret diagrams and drawings.
• Knowledge of ESD protection requirements.
• Capable of using production inspection equipment such as Micrometers, Verniers, Slips, Gauges.
• Understanding of wiring and assembly techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks on goods being prepared for packing/dispatch; ensure compliance with company documents, customer contractual requirements and quality procedures.
• Performs inspection operations, for the acceptance of parts, sub-assemblies and products, to the required standards.
• Inspects associated build pack, test results and records of jobs compliance to requirements.
• Raising of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Problem Reports (PR), Concessions / Production Permits (DR) to highlight discrepancies where necessary
• Identifies and logs faults and records results.
