Job summary

Thales in Crawley, United Kingdom is seeking an Integrated Test Technician to test and repair electro-mechanical products to strict specifications. You will diagnose faults to component level and ensure production and repair tasks meet planned schedules with accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

Good general education
Relevant experience in electronics fault finding and repair
Willingness to complete company training, including induction and human factors training, as required

Responsibilities

Diagnosing and repairing faults to component level using schematic diagrams
Completing production and repair activities in line with planned schedules and routing times
Accurately recording documentation and manufacturing data

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing practices
Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient working environment through 5S principles
Ensuring test equipment and tooling are available, calibrated, and fit for use

What You'll Be Doing

As an Integrated Test Technician, you'll be responsible for testing and repairing a range of products in line with product specifications and quality standards. You'll diagnose faults down to component level and ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and safely.

Key responsibilities include:

Testing electro-mechanical assemblies in accordance with product requirements
Diagnosing and repairing faults to component level using schematic diagrams
Completing production and repair activities in line with planned schedules and routing times

Ensuring compliance with quality standards including ISO9001 and AS9100

Essential Skills & Experience

Practical electronics experience within a test, repair, engineering, or manufacturing environment
Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills to component level

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP systems
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
