Job summary

Thales in the United Kingdom is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Inspector to join the Goods Inwards team. You will inspect electro-mechanical products and work packages from suppliers to ensure compliance with customer quality standards and approve products for dispatch.

This role emphasises attention to detail, with responsibilities including checks for packing readiness, NCR/PR logging, and supporting the delivery process for the UK and worldwide.

Qualifications

• Inspection experience on electro-mechanical items.
• Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of ESD protection requirements.
• Experience using micrometers, verniers, slips, and gauges.
• Understanding of wiring and assembly techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks on goods being prepared for packing/dispatch; ensure compliance with company documents, customer contractual requirements and quality procedures.
• Performs inspection operations, for the acceptance of parts, sub-assemblies and products, to the required standards.
• Inspects associated build pack, test results and records of jobs compliance to requirements.
• Raising of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Problem Reports (PR), Concessions / Production Permits (DR) to highlight discrepancies where necessary.
• Identifies and logs faults and record results.
