Job summary

Prestige Recruitment Specialists is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Field Team Assessor for the Humber Region (Hull, Grimsby, or Scunthorpe). The role requires regular travel to local training sites and employer premises to assess apprentices in electro-mechanical engineering.

The candidate will conduct site visits, audit portfolios, and provide guidance to develop apprentices’ skills while working with training teams and employer supervisors. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Strong electro-mechanical skills with Level 3+ trade qualifications.
• Proven experience in industrial engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities to develop young engineers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace site visits across Humber region to assess apprentices.
• Review and audit learner portfolios against electro-mechanical apprenticeship standards.
• Provide constructive feedback to help apprentices develop technical capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal training teams and employer supervisors to ensure progress.
• Maintain accurate progress records and ensure compliance tracking is up to date.

Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Field Team Assessor

Location: Humber Region (Based at centres in Hull, Grimsby, or Scunthorpe)

Salary:

• 39,328 per annum - No Assessor qualification but relevant industry experience
• 39,775 per annum - Level 3 Assessor qualification and relevant industry experience
• 40,990 per annum - IQA Qualification Level 4 and relevant industry experience
• Plus an Annual Performance-Based Bonus
  Hours: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity:

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and auditing learner portfolios against required electro-mechanical apprenticeship standards.
• Providing constructive, supportive feedback and guidance to help apprentices develop their technical capabilities.
• Collaborating closely with internal training teams and employer supervisors to ensure consistent educational progress.
• Maintaining accurate progress records and ensuring all compliance tracking is up to date.

What We Need From You (Key Criteria)

• Technical Expertise: Strong practical electro-mechanical skills with relevant trade qualifications at Level 3 or above.
• Industry Experience: Proven track record working within an industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication abilities with a clear, genuine commitment to the professional development of young people.
• Logistics: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as public transport is not a practical option for the multi-site travel required.
• Qualifications Background: Existing Assessor (Level 3) or IQA (Level 4) qualifications are highly desirable but not essential. Full training and qualification sponsorship will be provided to the right candidate.
