Matchtech is seeking an Assembly Operative for a permanent role to assemble and test complex electro‑mechanical products including solenoid systems and naval manifolds. You will interpret drawings, perform pressure tests and ensure quality standards are met.

The role involves sub-assembly, soldering and coil winding where required, plus recording production data and supporting training of colleagues in a specialist engineering environment.

Competenze

• Relevant engineering qualification is required (apprenticeship/NVQ/HNC).
• Significant experience assembling complex valve/electro-mechanical products.
• Ability to read, interpret and validate technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with pressure testing using air, fluid or gas.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Mansioni

• Assemble complex valve and electro-mechanical products per drawings and specifications.
• Test completed assemblies using air, fluid and gas pressure media.
• Read, interpret and validate technical drawings and build documentation.
• Diagnose faults and communicate issues to other departments.
• Machine sub-assemblies, soldering and coil winding as required.
• Use measuring equipment to check components against tolerances.
• Clean, label and finish products for inspection and packing.
