Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to build, assemble, wire and test a range of special-purpose machinery and prototype equipment. The role requires strong electro-mechanical assembly skills, attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities include wiring, soldering, fault finding and assembly to precise standards, using a variety of hand and power tools.

Qualifications

Experience in electrical, electro-mechanical or manufacturing assembly.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Attention to detail and methodical approach to assembly and fault finding.
Good manual dexterity and practical problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Electro-mechanical assembly of special-purpose machinery and prototype units.
Precision assembly of prototype and production equipment.
Point-to-point wiring, cable crimping, looming and termination to a high standard.
Soldering and wiring to the required specifications.
Read, interpret and work from electrical wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and assembly drawings.
Locate, diagnose and rectify faults within electrical power supply equipment.
General mechanical and electrical assembly work as required.
Use, maintain and care for a range of hand tools, power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments.
Ensure all work is completed accurately, safely and in accordance with relevant procedures and quality standards.
