Job summary

Our client, a well-established manufacturer in Redhill, is seeking an Assembly Technician to join their workshop team. You will build mechanical and electrical assemblies to drawing standards, support production to meet schedules, and ensure despatch readiness.

The role requires hands-on workshop skills, ability to read drawings, and a quality-focused approach. Based in Redhill with a permanent, on-site position offering up to £31,000 plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical, electrical or production assembly environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Hands-on workshop skills with good attention to detail.
• Comfortable using hand tools and basic workshop equipment.
• A practical, quality-focused approach.
• Experience with pipework, fittings or wiring would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical products from drawings and work instructions.
• Carry out workshop fitting, including drilling, tapping and assembly of components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Support production to meet delivery schedules.
• Pack and label products ready for despatch.
• Keep accurate production records.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workstation.
• Work with operations, quality and engineering when needed.
