Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Manufacturing Team Member – Production Assembly in Stafford to join our fast-paced, high-technology environment. You will assemble, inspect, test, and repair electro-mechanical products in line with production plans and customer requirements, with full training provided.

The role supports Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, requires good attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work a rotating two-shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Minimum ONC qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Excellent attendance and timekeeping.
• Ability to work a rotating two-shift pattern.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-disciplined and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to investigate production faults.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection and testing of electronic sub-assemblies according to procedures.
• Record pass/fail results on databases and production systems.
• Operate Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) per specifications.
• Perform basic fault-finding on failed sub-assemblies.
• Repair or document failures and escalate as needed.
• Use soldering and desoldering equipment and meters safely.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Team Members, Team Leaders, Engineers, and Quality personnel.
• Demonstrate and explain testing procedures to colleagues when required.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and housekeeping.
• Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
