Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Grade 5 Network Planner for the Ty Coch depot in Cwmbran. You will design the distribution network and collaborate with engineers to construct, reinforce, or modify equipment, ensuring minimal customer impact and high service reliability.

Applicants should have GCSE English & Maths (C/Level 4) or Functional Skills Level 2, plus Level 2 City & Guilds 2339 or equivalent. If not yet attained, Level 3 City & Guilds 2339 is required.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths Grade C/Level 4 minimum or Functional Skills Level 2 or above.
• Level 2 City & Guilds 2339 or equivalent qualification.
• If not attained, undertake Level 3 City & Guilds 2339.

Responsibilities

• Planners design our network and work with Engineers to construct, reinforce, alter and replace equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure network integrity and reliability.
• Support depot operations at Ty Coch with planning insights and coordinating tasks.
