Job summary

Hyde is recruiting an Electrician to join the Property Services team, delivering a responsive electrical service to residents in social housing across Devon. You will perform rewires, testing, inspections and day-to-day repairs while ensuring site safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates hold an 18th Edition and Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification, with Electrical Inspection & Testing and NICEIC standards experience. A company van and fuel card are provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience completing rewires and repairs in residential settings.
  • Social housing experience is desirable.
  • Experience with electrical testing and compliance checks is required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver rewires, remedial works and installation of smoke detectors and tests.
  • Participate in out-of-hours service on a rota basis.
  • Liaise between residents and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Promote safety and duty of care across all working environments.
  • Undertake repairs to maintain safety, security and working conditions.

Job Description

Domestic Electrician Southampton Up to £44,600 plus company van and fuel card Hyde is looking to recruit an Electrician. As an Electrician at Hyde you will be working within Property Services to provide a responsive and professional electrical service to residents ensuring all internal and external work sites are adequately protected and maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver works such as rewires, remedial works, installation of smoke detectors, test and inspections and day-to-day responsive repairs maintenance.
  • Participate in the 'out of hours' service delivery on a rota basis to ensure electrical issues are dealt with promptly.
  • Act as a liaison between residents and internal teams to ensure any property related issues are highlighted and resolved promptly.
  • Exercise and promote the highest levels of duty, care and safety within all working environments in order to minimise levels of risk to The Hyde Group employees, properties and residents.
  • Undertake any required repairs in order to maintain high levels of safety, security and working conditions across The Hyde Group properties (including vehicles and tools) in compliance with current policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Have proven experience of working on residential properties; social housing is desirable.
  • Hold an 18th Edition qualification.
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • Hold an Electrical Inspection & Testing (#####) qualification.
  • Be able to work in accordance with NICEIC requirements.
