Job summary

XAD Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced electrical installer to join our field team. You will install, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment on site, ensuring compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.

You will diagnose faults, work on heating meter installations, install meter gateways and smart metering systems, and interpret technical drawings to support safe DB installations and power distribution.

Qualifications

• Engineering-level qualification in Electrical with UK ENIC equivalency.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• ECS Gold Card is required.
• Experience with heating meters, meter gateways, and smart systems.
• Strong knowledge of DB installation and power distribution.
• Knowledge of UK electrical regulations and H&S standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently.
• Work on heating meter installations and electrical connections.
• Install and configure meter gateways / smart metering systems.
• Add and connect power sources for new and existing installations.
• Carry out Distribution Board (DB) preparation, wiring, and upgrades.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and complete certification.
