Job summary
UK Networks Services is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer to join a team delivering smart grid and electrical engineering projects. The role involves site visits and office work, supporting design, procurement, installation and commissioning in line with client specs.
The successful candidate will have 4+ years in electrical environments, a Level 4 engineering qualification, reading drawings, and a proactive approach to safety and documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 4 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
- 4+ years’ experience in electrical engineering, installation, control panels or related technical environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information from drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of electrical principles and safety, RAMS and CDM basics.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of engineering projects from concept to handover.
- Coordinate project activities to meet client requirements and standards.
- Assist with commissioning activities, testing and client demonstrations.
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to ensure project success.
- Prepare RAMS, CDM documentation and project reports.
