Job summary

bpha is seeking a qualified Electrician to perform repairs, installations, testing and fault finding in occupied homes and void properties across Bedfordshire and surrounding areas. You will work in a responsive repairs team on a 40-hour week with a rota pattern, delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include electrical repairs, circuit work, consumer unit replacements, and certs (electrical installation certificates, minor works, EICRs).

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• AM2 qualification
• Strong experience in domestic electrical work, repairs and fault finding
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Electrical repairs, maintenance and small installation works
• Installation of new circuits and alterations of existing circuits where required
• Consumer unit replacements
• Inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations, completing electrical Installation certificates, minor works certificates, electrical installation condition reports and all associated documentation to a high standard.
• Fault finding and remedial works
• Working safely in line with current BS 7671 wiring regulations
• Delivering a first-class service in customers' homes
• Collaborating with other trades on refurbishment projects

Full Time | Permanent | Up to £43,000 DOE

Covering Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas

Responsive Repairs Team – 40 hours weekly worked on an 8-week rota as per below:

Shift Pattern 1 - Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (including 1 hour lunch)

Shift Pattern 2 – Monday & Wednesday 11am-8pm. Tuesday. Thursday & Friday 8am -5pm

Shift Pattern 3 – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8am-5pm, Wednesday 8am-12noon, Saturday 830am - 1230
