Job summary

Construction Resources Limited is seeking a qualified Electrician to perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance across domestic and commercial properties, including occupied sites in Colchester and surrounding areas. The role involves testing, compliance with BS7671 and health and safety requirements, and clear record-keeping.

The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition, UK driving licence, and eligibility for BPSS/SC clearance, with remuneration up to £41,600

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, installations and maintenance.
• Complete planned works, including rewires and consumer unit replacements.
• Install smoke alarms, fans, shower circuits and other electrical equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out remedial works.
• Complete electrical inspection and testing, including EICRs.
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate job records using a PDA or mobile device.
• Communicate with residents, clients and colleagues.
• Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safe isolation and health and safety procedures

• Must hold, or be immediately eligible for, SC security clearance and meet BPSS requirements

• 2391 or 2394/2395 qualification desirable

• Full UK driving licence
