Job summary

Broadland Housing Group is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Maintenance Team. The role covers Norfolk and North Suffolk, with a starting salary of £39,036 per year and potential to progress to £45,272, plus a company vehicle and call-out payments.

The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive electrical work, support EICRs and void properties, and travel across our areas. DBS check and on-call rota are required.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Electrician with City and Guilds 5357 / City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • City and Guilds 2360 – Part 1 and Part 2 or equivalent
  • AM2 (desirable) depending on when NVQ completed
  • City and Guilds or equivalent 2382 (18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations)
  • City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent qualification
  • Driving Licence for travel around Norfolk and North Suffolk
  • Experience of working in Property Maintenance
  • Good IT skills

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned electrical works including bathroom aids and adaptations and kitchen wiring alterations
  • Support efficient delivery of electrical repairs across responsive repairs, EICRs and void properties
  • Ensure timely work in line with performance indicators
  • Manage tenant enquiries and report to the relevant manager

Starting Salary of £39,036 per annum, (depending on skills and experience), with opportunities to progress to £45,272 per annum, plus, Company Vehicle and Call out payments

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician within our Maintenance Team who will support both the planned and reactive / void workstreams. We are looking for a bright spark to ignite their potential in helping to maintain our homes and make a difference for our residents. The works will be throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk as business needs dictate, carrying out planned and reactive works.

The main duties for the role include:

  • To work closely with the Electrical Team to help deliver planned electrical works including bathroom aids and adaptations and kitchen wiring alterations.
  • You will support with the effective and efficient delivery of electrical related repairs where required. This is across responsive repairs, EICRs and void properties
  • Ensuring that the work is undertaken in a timely manner consistent with prescribed performance indicators advised.
  • Manage tenant enquiries and respond in a professional manner reporting anything back to the relevant manager.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:
