Job summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join Mears Group in Tonbridge. This field-based role covers maintenance, repair and installation of electrical systems in tenanted properties, ensuring safety, compliance and occupancy readiness.

Role involves reactive repairs, planned maintenance and support for refurbishment programmes. A strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to high-quality workmanship are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, including AM2.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (or willing to complete 18th edition)
• Inspection and Testing 2391 or 2394/2395
• Full UK driving licence with clean record
• Experience in domestic/social housing desirable

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace faulty electrical accessories (sockets, lights, switches, extractors).
• Inspect, test and certify electrical installations per current regs and safety standards.
• Diagnose faults and rectify consumer units (fuse boxes).
• Install new electrical accessories (sockets, lights, switches, extractors).
• Carry out first fix works and rewires (full/partial).
• Install additional outlets and cabling as required.
• Work solo or in a team to meet targets.
• Communicate with tenants about works and outcomes.
• Keep work areas clean and compliant with health and safety policies.
• Deliver high standard of customer care.
• Use IT/job management systems to manage workloads.
