Morson Group is seeking an Electrician / Electrical Fitter to support the water industry across the UK. The role covers installation, maintenance, repair, testing and commissioning of industrial and wastewater electrical equipment on customer sites.

Based in Manningtree with UK-wide travel, the temporary contract (minimum 4 months) may extend or become permanent for the right candidate; expect on-call duties, breakdown support and some installations (about 15%).

Qualifications

City & Guilds Part 1 and Part 2 or equivalent electrical qualifications.
JIB/ECS Gold Card (Essential).
City & Guilds 2380 / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Essential).
City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification (Desirable).
EUSR card (Desirable).
Confined Spaces (Desirable).
Water Inductions / Safety Passports (Desirable).
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, test, and maintain industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults to component level.
Perform planned preventive maintenance on pumps, machinery, and wastewater equipment.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in an on-call rota.
Conduct site inspections, technical surveys, and prepare reports for quotations.
Install and commission instrumentation, control systems, and associated equipment.

Electrician / Electrical Fitter (Water Industry)

Location: Manningtree (with UK-wide travel)
Contract Type: Temporary (4 months minimum - temp to perm potential)

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrician / Electrical Fitter to join one of our premier clients, a leading UK based and international water management company to support sites across the UK.
The position is available from late September 2026 and will continue until Christmas 2026 as a minimum for the right candidate. It is highly likely the arrangement will be extended into 2027 or potentially a permanent role offered accordingly following the initial period.
The role involves installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and commissioning of industrial and wastewater electrical equipment on customer sites. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, focusing primarily on maintenance, breakdown repairs, and some new installations (approximately 15% of workload is install).
The position requires fault finding to component level, preventative maintenance on pumps and machinery, site surveys, and equipment refurbishment.
This role offers opportunities to develop expertise in industrial automation, instrumentation, controls, and wastewater technologies while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
