Job summary

Streamline Search Ltd seeks an experienced Electrician with strong EICR and testing expertise to perform electrical inspections, tests and certifications on residential and commercial properties. You will identify defects, ensure compliance with BS 7671, and coordinate remedial actions on-site.

You will document test results, liaise with clients and tenants, and support the wider electrical team on site to maintain the highest safety and quality standards.

Salary: GBP40000 - GBP45000 per annum

Location: Essex
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

Our client is a well-established and growing specialist contractor delivering electrical and building services solutions across the housing association, local authority and private sectors. With a strong reputation for quality, compliance and responsive service, they work across a range of planned and reactive projects for a diverse client base.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrician with strong EICR and inspection and testing experience to carry out electrical testing, identify defects and ensure installations meet the required safety and compliance standards.

• Carry out EICRs, inspection and testing across residential and commercial properties.
• Complete electrical testing and certification in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.
• Identify defects, faults and areas of non-compliance and recommend appropriate remedial works.
• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and remedial works where required.
• Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate records of testing, certification and completed works.
• Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, site teams and other stakeholders.
• Support the wider electrical team with general electrical works when required.
• Proven experience as an Electrician with strong EICR and inspection and testing experience.
• Inspection and Testing qualification, such as City & Guilds 2391-51, 2391-52 or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of BS 7671 and current electrical regulations.
• Competent in carrying out EICRs and accurately recording test results and certification.
• Ability to identify electrical defects and recommend appropriate remedial action.
• Good attention to detail with a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance.
• Confident communicator with a professional approach when dealing with clients and tenants.
• Full UK driving licence.
