Job summary

Connolly Limited is seeking qualified Electrical Sub-Contractors to support our Social Housing programmes across the North West (Wigan/Bolton/Manchester/Preston). You will perform EICR testing, identify defects, and carry out remedial works in occupied domestic properties for local authorities and housing associations with pre-booked appointments and strong pipeline work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent is required.
• C&G 2330, 2360, 2357 or 2365 (or equivalent) qualification desirable.
• City & Guilds 2391, 2394 and/or 2395 beneficial.
• Experience with EICR testing and remedial works in social housing settings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICR testing within domestic properties.
• Identify defects and complete remedial works.
• Carry out electrical repairs and installations as required.
• Ensure works comply with BS7671 regulations.
• Maintain health and safety standards.

Looking for consistent, pre-booked EICR work?

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured contracts, Connolly is looking for qualified Electrical Sub-Contractors to support our Social Housing programmes across the North West.

Working within occupied domestic properties, you'll carry out EICR testing, electrical repairs and remedial works on behalf of local authorities and housing associations.

With pre-booked appointments averaging four tests per day, this role offers excellent earning potential and a consistent workload.

The Role

As an Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), identifying defects and completing associated remedial works to ensure properties remain safe and compliant.

Working independently or as part of a wider team, you'll deliver a high-quality service while maintaining excellent customer relationships with tenants and clients.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out EICR testing within domestic properties
• Completing remedial works identified during inspections
• Undertaking electrical repairs and installations where required
• Ensuring all works comply with BS7671 regulations
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety
• Communicating professionally with tenants and residents
• Managing van stock and materials effectively
• Providing accurate certification and reporting documentation
• Delivering a professional, customer-focused service

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • C&G 2330, 2360, 2357 or 2365 (or equivalent)
• City & Guilds 2391, 2394 and/or 2395
• Previous experience carrying out EICR testing and remedial works
• Strong understanding of current wiring regulations
• Good IT and reporting skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Asbestos Awareness desirable but not essential
• Experience working within occupied properties or Social Housing is desirable
