Job summary

An experienced Electrician with strong EICR and testing expertise is sought to work across residential and commercial properties in Essex. The role involves carrying out testing, certifying works, identifying non-compliances and delivering remedial actions to meet safety standards.

Applicants should hold 18th Edition and City & Guilds 2391-51/52 qualifications, have a clean UK driving licence, and be able to document results accurately.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrician with strong EICR and testing.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391-51 qualification or 2391-52 qualification.
• Strong understanding of BS 7671 and current electrical regulations.
• Competent in carrying out EICRs and recording results accurately.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICRs, inspection and testing across residential and commercial properties.
• Complete electrical testing and certification in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.
• Identify defects, faults and areas of non-compliance and recommend remedial works.
• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and remedial works where required.
• Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate records of testing, certification and completed works.
• Liaise with clients, tenants, site teams and other stakeholders.
• Support the wider electrical team with general electrical works when required.

Electrician (EICR Testing)

Location: Essex
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

Our client is a well-established and growing specialist contractor delivering electrical and building services solutions across the housing association, local authority and private sectors. With a strong reputation for quality, compliance and responsive service, they work across a range of planned and reactive projects for a diverse client base.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrician with strong EICR and inspection and testing experience to carry out electrical testing, identify defects and ensure installations meet the required safety and compliance standards.

Electrician (EICR Testing) – Position Overview

• Carry out EICRs, inspection and testing across residential and commercial properties.

• Ability to identify electrical defects and recommend appropriate remedial action.
• Good attention to detail with a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance.
• Confident communicator with a professional approach when dealing with clients and tenants.
• Full UK driving licence.

Salary: £40000 – £45000/annum
