Job summary

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) seeks JIB Electricians for a long-term contract in Birmingham. Start Monday 28th September. Role involves inspecting and testing electrical systems on commercial and domestic properties, with working hours Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.

Must hold an in-date JIB Gold card, 18th Edition, and 2391/2394/95 Test and Inspection certification. Asbestos awareness is desirable. No travel or lodge provided by the client.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical inspection and testing on commercial and domestic properties.
• Perform visual inspections of electrical installations and identify defects.
• Conduct dead and live electrical testing and continuity testing.
• Complete insulation resistance and RCD trip-time testing.
• Identify and classify electrical defects and document electrical certifications.

Job description

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting: We are looking for JIB Electricians for a long term contract with our client in Birmingham.

This is to start on Monday 28th September.

Rate of pay is £26.50 per hour (all hours Monday to Friday), working 8 hours a day.

Must have an in date JIB Gold card, 18th Edition, 2391 or 2394/95 Test and Inspection certification (Essential) and Asbestos awareness certification (desirable).

This will be working on commercial and domestic properties.

The successful Electricians will be carrying out electrical inspection and testing, including:

• Visual inspections of electrical installations
• Checking for damaged or broken sockets, burn marks, wear and tear and outdated fuse boxes
• Carrying out dead and live electrical testing
• Continuity testing
• Insulation resistance testing
• RCD trip-time testing
• Identifying and classifying electrical defects
• Completing electrical certification and inspection documentation

Full electrical certification must be sent across before starting this position.
