Job summary

Encirc Ltd, Elton, Cheshire, is seeking an experienced Electrician Chargehand to lead electrical maintenance across a busy glass manufacturing site. You will coordinate technicians and contractors, perform fault finding, and stay hands-on with automation and control systems.

Ideal candidates will have an 18th Edition qualification, strong industrial maintenance experience, PLC knowledge (Siemens preferred) and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Must have strong industrial electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Experience with PLCs (ideally Siemens), automation, drives and motor control.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Experience leading technicians, apprentices and/or contractors.
• Strong focus on electrical safety and safe isolation.

Responsibilities

Job description

Electrician Chargehand to join our Engineering team at Elton, providing electrical and controls support across our busy glass manufacturing site. You'll lead and coordinate electrical technicians and contractors while remaining hands-on with fault finding, maintenance, automation and controls. The role is key to keeping our plant safe, reliable and running efficiently.What you'll be doing

  Recognised electrical apprenticeship/qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong industrial electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Experience with PLCs (ideally Siemens), automation, drives and motor control.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Experience leading technicians, apprentices and/or contractors.
• Strong focus on electrical safety and safe isolation.
• HV SAP experience is highly desirable.
• Experience within a manufacturing or process environment.
