Job summary

Dynamite Recruitment is hiring an electrician to work independently on domestic installations across Yorkshire, focusing on electrical installation, testing and maintenance. You will manage your own jobs with minimal supervision and be supported by a dedicated coordinator from the team.

Hours are 8:00–16:30, with some days finishing earlier once workload allows. No on-call rota; van provided and training on environmental sensor systems. Salary reflects 2391 qualification and standard allowances.

Qualifications

• Confident lone working in domestic installation environments.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification including AM2.
• Full UK driving licence, comfortable using a tablet and digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Electrical installation, testing and commissioning.

• Fan installation and replacement.

• EICRs and routine inspections.
• Preventative maintenance; rewiring as needed.

The Electrician role

You’ll be working independently across domestic properties, carrying out predominantly electrical installation work as well as testing and maintenance work when required. New starters are gradually introduced to the workload based on their individual experience and capabilities, rather than simply being thrown in at the deep end. The majority of the work is sole working, giving you the autonomy to manage your own jobs.

Package

• Starting salary for those with the 2391 qualification: £38.5K to £40K.
• Starting salary on average, for those without the 2391 qualification = £36,000. Potential for flexibilities.
