Job summary

Ltek Recruitment Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Electrician to join a growing engineering team in Glasgow. You will carry out inspecting and testing on customer electrical installations (EICRs), including emergency lighting testing, fire alarm inspections, mains analysis, thermal imaging, and minor repairs.

The role offers a base salary of £40k with potential earnings around £60k including bonus, on-call, overtime and travel time.

Qualifications

• 2391 testing and inspection certification (or equivalent) required.
• NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds 2360/2365 L3 Diploma or 2330 qualification.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition required.
• AM2 or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points and 12+ months experience.
• Experience with commercial lighting replacements is essential.
• Strong IT literacy and health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspecting & testing on customer electrical installations (EICRs), including Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis, Thermal Imaging and small remedial repairs.
• Complete all relevant reports and certification with our cloud-based certification software.
• Ensure all reports and certification are completed and submitted on time.

Salary - £40k + company car / bonus / overtime / 31 days holiday

Our client has announced their business is growing; to support this they are looking for experienced Electricians to join an already successful team.

Your role as a Electrician:

• Carrying out Inspecting & Testing on customer's electrical installations (EICR's) including Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis, Thermal Imaging, and small remedial repairs as required.
• Completing all relevant reports and certification associated with your inspection & testing our cloud-based certification software.
• Ensuring all reports and certification are completed and summited on time.

In return for your commitment and expertise, you will get:

• A base salary of 40k with average earnings of circa £60,000 (base salary plus bonus, on call, overtime/weekends, and paid travel time)
• Realistic earning potential excluding overtime on the weekends

The ideal candidate for an Electrician will have:

• The flexibility to work 40 hours per week or more, including evening/ twilight shifts to support the projects requirements.
• Must have 2391 testing and inspection cert or equivalent
• Flexibility to travel and stay away from home.
• Full UK manual Driving License for a minimum of 12 months (Subject to insurance requirements), with a maximum of 6 points
• NVQ level 3 and City & Guilds 2360/2365 L3 Diploma/2330 qualification
• City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification required
• AM2 or equivalent
• 2391 or equivalent
• A good level of IT literacy.
• Experience with Electrical installation/project work - Specifically commercial lighting replacements
• An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace
