Job summary

Cardo Group is seeking an Electrician to join the Cardiff projects team. You will perform extractor fan installations, electrical repairs, and upgrades across commercial projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, health and safety standards, and site requirements.

Ideal candidates will hold NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition, and City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent, with proven commercial experience and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold relevant electrical installation qualification(s) and up-to-date wiring regs.
• Experience working in commercial properties with electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical repairs, installations, and system upgrades in commercial properties.
• Install and maintain electrical systems including lighting, power, distribution, heating, and fire alarm systems.
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to deliver projects on time.

Role Overview:

We are currently looking for an Electrician to join our projects team in Cardiff to carry out installations of extractor fans, electrical repairs, installations, and upgrades across commercial projects, including lighting, power, distribution boards, heating, and fire alarm systems. Ensuring all electrical work complies fully with current regulations, industry standards, and strict health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine electrical repairs, installations, and system upgrades in commercial properties.
• Install and maintain a wide range of electrical systems including extractor fans, lighting, power sockets, distribution boards, heating systems, and fire alarm systems.
• Ensure all electrical work meets current regulations and industry standards for full compliance.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, always maintaining a safe working environment.
• Collaborate effectively with other trades, contractors, and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and customer-focused approach while on-site.

You will need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection and Testing) – preferred.
• Proven experience in commercial electrical work.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of current electrical safety standards and building regulations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
