Fortem is hiring a permanent Testing Electrician to join the social housing maintenance team. The role covers Bournemouth/Salisbury areas with travel, Monday–Friday 8:00–16:30, salary with company van, fuel card and tools, plus on-call rota.

You will perform electrical testing (EICRs), consumer unit changes, and strive for first-time fixes within budget and time constraints. Essential qualifications include NVQ Level 3 Electrical, 18th Edition, and 2391/2377 testing certification, plus a valid

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical (2356) with AM2 portfolio or equivalent.
• C&G 18th Edition Certificate and JIBP card.
• Testing & Inspecting Certificate 2391 or 2377; PAT certs.
• Full UK driving licence with <6 points; DBS check possible.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out EICRs and consumer unit changes.
• Advise Supervisor when other trades are required.
• Work with other operatives to complete projects.
• Complete daily worksheets detailing work and materials used.

TESTING ELECTRICIANWe have an exciting new opportunity for a permanent Testing Electrician to join us on our social housing maintenance team at the Stonewater Housing branch.This will be covering a patch of social housing properties across Bournemouth and Salisbury and surrounding areas, therefore travel is essentialThe core working hours are Monday to Friday Start at 8.00am-4:30pmWe provide a competitive salary + Company Van, Fuel card and Power Tools.+ Generous paying ON CALL Rota (Approx. 1 week in every 6 weeks)You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of Electrical Testing as required including EICRs and consumer unit changes, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of Supervision.You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Testing Electrician's duties and responsibilities will include the following:

• Inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report
• Carry out EICRs and remedial upgrades to properties and consumer unit changes
• Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required.
• Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
• Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken.
• Working in a timely and productive manner to complete projects.
• Provide excellent customer service to both tenants and clients.

What will you need?

Essential criteria:

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical (2356) with AM2 portfolio to support your experience (not just EAL)This can be a combination of C&G 2360 Part 1&2 Electrotechnical Competences plus the NVQ 3 Certificate 2356 with Technical Certs L2&3 plus the NVQ 3 Certificate or just the NVQ 3 2356 certificate
• C&G 18th Edition Certificate
• JIPB H&S Test Certificate with Current JIBP card
• Testing & Inspecting Certificate 2391 or C&G 2377
• PAT Certificate
• Full UK driving license with less than 6 points and no recent driving bans
• Must be able to pass a Basic DBS Check
