Job summary

Service Care is seeking an experienced Electrician for a permanent role in Ryde, Isle of Wight. You will carry out EICRs, emergency lighting tests, fire alarm testing, and other electrical installations across a varied property portfolio.

Candidates should have NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, City & Guilds 2391, and at least five years' experience in electrical maintenance, with a strong focus on safety and compliance. A company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience in electrical maintenance or building maintenance.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent electrical inspection/testing qualification.
• Strong fault-finding, repair, and maintenance skills.
• Professional approach to compliance, safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), emergency lighting tests and fire alarm testing.
• Completing electrical installations, fault finding, repairs and remedial works.
• Diagnosing faults thoroughly and identifying required materials or additional trade support.
• Preparing quotations for electrical testing remedial works.
• Completing electrical certification accurately and in line with regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring all work complies with current IET Wiring Regulations and relevant British Standards.
• Following health and safety procedures, including risk assessments, method statements and correct use of PPE.
• Maintaining accurate job records and electrical certification using relevant IT systems.

Are you an experienced Electrician looking for a permanent opportunity with an established property maintenance and facilities management operation? We are recruiting an Electrician to deliver safe, compliant and high-quality electrical services across a varied property portfolio in Ryde, Isle of Wight.

Salary: £43,056 per annum Job Type: Permanent Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight

Electrician Responsibilities
