INDCONSTRUCTION in Redditch is seeking an Electrician to join an established facilities team. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on essential electrical systems, ensuring safety and compliance within a secure prison environment.

The role offers a stable, long-term position with structured hours, weekend rota allowance, and funded training opportunities for career progression into senior or supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation (Level 2+)
• 18th Edition certification (or willingness to update)
• Experience in maintenance and fault finding
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Basic IT skills
• Flexible approach to working patterns, including weekends
• Desirable knowledge of fire alarm and CCTV systems

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance across electrical systems
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs
• Undertake minor installation works and component replacements
• Conduct inspections and testing in line with regulations
• Complete maintenance records and reports accurately
• Support general maintenance and operational requirements
• Work within strict Health & Safety procedures in a prison environment
