Mobile Electrician – Preston (Northwest Region)

£35,000 – £38,000 per year | Full-Time | Permanent | Immediate Start Available | Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00

The Role

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Mobile Electrician to join our growing commercial maintenance team, based in Preston and covering the surrounding Northwest region. This is a hands-on role involving planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, fault-finding, and electrical testing and installations. A multi-skilled approach with experience in general maintenance will be a strong advantage.

Your Daily Tasks

• Carry out routine electrical PPM and respond to reactive maintenance requests.
• Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and installations in commercial and clinical settings.
• Complete EICR testing in line with NAPIT certification standards.
• Maintain accurate records using internal documentation systems.
• Travel between client sites across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Liverpool, and Lancaster.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Health & Safety and Electrical Regulations.

What We’re Looking For

• NAPIT qualified for EICR testing.
• City & Guilds 2365 (Parts 1–3), NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial electrical maintenance.
• Working knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the job.
• Comfortable working at heights when required.
• A full UK driving licence (essential – company van provided).
• Basic IT and documentation skills.
