Qualifications

• Completed appropriate trade apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, maintenance, and defect rectification.
• Work on multiple voltage systems (12v, 24v, 110v, etc.).
• Conduct inspections and use measuring equipment.

Job description

Kinetic are seeking to recruit experienced Electricians/Electrical Fitters for a permanent role in Portsmouth.

The successful candidates will be working as part of a large Operations Division providing technical support on RN fleet assets, this includes modifications, repairs and modifications.
The role will be undertaken out on vessels that are either alongside, in dry dock, under deep maintenance or in hangers and workshops.

Projects will include carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and defect rectification on 12v, 24v, 110v, 240v & 440v systems in accordance with the project schedules to meet MOD quality expectations.

Skills & Experience

Have completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship, naval equivalent qualifications, or qualifications (NVQ Level 3 in an associated Trade)
Reading/Interpreting Electrical Drawings, Schematics and Guidance information
Carrying out Electrical Testing
Installation, testing and maintenance of communications equipment such as VHF radios, Intercom, GPS, and AIS
Fault diagnosis and repair
Carrying out detailed inspections and be fully conversant in the use of all measuring equipment's
Using calibrating measurement equipment
Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height

The role attracts a base salary of 34,640 pa. In addition, the position includes a generous employment package.

Base Hours M-Th (Apply online only) F (Apply online only) however flexibility is a pre-requisite where hours maybe extended (Apply online only) Monday to Friday) Note that OT premium Rates will apply.
