Job summary

Meridian is seeking a Permanent Electrician to join an international M&E contractor delivering commercial and industrial projects across the UK. The role offers stability, training and clear career progression, with a base salary around £40k–£42k and opportunities for overtime and enhanced earnings.

You will install, inspect and maintain electrical building services, sign off work to high standards, and work with site teams to ensure compliance and timely project close-out.

Qualifications

• Gold JIB card required.
• BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
• 2391 Testing Qualification desirable but not essential.
• Experience on commercial/industrial projects (offices, retail, fit-outs).

Responsibilities

• Install, Inspect & Test electrical building services on commercial projects.
• Sign off electrical work to a high standard.
• Work with supervisors/management on project paperwork and reports.
• Provide technical support on compliance and site quality.

• Previous experience 1st and 2nd fixing commercial and industrial projects such as offices, retail, fit outs etc.
• Full UK Driving Licence (there will be travel involved in this role)
• Ability to work nationwide

Duties include (but are not exclusive to):

• Helping to install, Inspect & Test, and maintain Electrical building services on commercial projects across the UK
• Ability to safely sign off Electrical work to a high standard
• Work closely with supervisory and management staff to help project sign offs by assisting with the end of project reports
• Working closely with Electricians on site as well as management teams to provide technical support on compliance, reports, and project paperwork
