Job summary

SER Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer & Remedial Electrician to join a growing team. The role covers commercial and industrial sites across the regional area, based in Milton Keynes.

You will perform EICRs, test three-phase installations, and carry out repairs. Training can be provided for progression, with enhanced DBS checks and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation required.
• AM2 qualification preferred.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) required.
• 2391/2394/2395 Inspection & Testing qualification.
• Proven commercial EICR testing and remedial experience.
• Experience with three-phase installations and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Complete EICRs on commercial and industrial properties.
• Test and inspect single and three-phase installations.
• Carry out electrical repairs and minor remedial works.
• Fault-find and ensure installations comply with BS 7671.
• Work independently across client sites, typically within 1–1.5 hours' travel.
• Complete accurate reports and maintain professional relationships with clients.

Salary/Package: £42,000 – £46,000 DOE, Van/Fuel Card, OT available paid at enhanced rates, 23 days holiday + Banks, Specialist Testing equipment & PPE provided

Purpose of the Role

• Test and inspect single and three-phase installations.
• Carry out electrical repairs and minor remedial works.
• Fault-find and ensure installations comply with BS 7671.
• Work independently across client sites, typically within 1–1.5 hours' travel.
• Complete accurate reports and maintain professional relationships with clients.

You must have or hold

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• AM2 qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing qualification.
• Proven commercial EICR testing and remedial experience.
• Experience with three-phase installations and fault finding.
• Full UK driving licence.

ECS/JIB Gold Card, IPAF or PASMA would be advantageous, although training can be provided. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
