Skilled Careers is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our subcontracting team across Kent, covering ME postcodes. The role focuses on testing and EICRs in social housing, with a price-work structure and local start.

You will carry out electrical inspections, identify defects, and ensure timely certification. Applicants should have Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services, 2391-52, 18th Edition, and own van and tools. PDA experience and COSHH/HE certificates are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrotechnical Services.

• 18th Edition wiring regulations.

• Experience in social housing sector preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team, subcontracting work across Kent in a price-work position. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out testing and EICRs across various social housing properties in Kent. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in social housing properties.
• Complete electrical inspection and testing to current regulations and industry standards.
• Identify, diagnose and report electrical defects and non-compliances.
• Ensure all testing and certification is completed accurately and submitted within required timescales.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted

Requirements:

• Level 3 NVQin Electrotechnical Services – Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) or equivalent
• 2391-52
• 18th Edition
• Your own van and tools (Calibration Certificate required)
• Proven experience as an Electrician within the social housing sector is ideal
• Experience using a PDA
