Job summary

18 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a qualified Electrician to join a busy property maintenance team, delivering electrical repairs, installations, testing and compliance across residential properties in Dartford and Essex locations.

You will play a key role in keeping homes safe and compliant, delivering high‑quality workmanship with strong customer service and safety standards. A van is provided and ongoing housing contracts support long‑term work.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• AM2 qualification.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong understanding of electrical compliance and safety standards.
• Experience carrying out domestic electrical repairs and maintenance.
• Excellent fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
• DBS check to be completed as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance within domestic properties.
• Conduct routine servicing, fault finding and testing of electrical systems.
• Complete electrical inspections and ensure compliance with current regulations.
• Replace sockets, switches, fittings and associated components.
• Identify and report defective or non‑compliant installations.
• Complete job documentation accurately using mobile technology.
• Undertake site‑specific risk assessments and follow all Health & Safety procedures.
• Deliver a professional, customer‑focused service while working in occupied homes.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with current industry regulations.
