Job summary

Example Recruitment is seeking a qualified electrician to cover the Leicester area. You will perform EICRs and install wiring for central heating within domestic social housing properties, while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and clients. The role emphasises compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH alongside risk assessments.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of experience, 18th edition, 2391 or equivalent, a full UK driving licence, and DBS checks on offer.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with 2 years’ experience in domestic/social housing.
• Experience with EICR, central heating wiring and tests.
• Must have 18th Edition and 2391/equivalent certification.
• Full UK driving licence is essential, DBS check on offer.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICRs and electrical installation assessments in properties.
• Perform wiring and testing of new heating systems in domestic/commercial properties.
• Maintain high levels of customer care with tenants and clients.
• EnsureHealth & Safety, Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH compliance.

Job description

We have a vacancy for a qualified electrician to cover the Leicester area carrying out EICR’s and the wiring of central heating within domestic social housing properties.

Role

• Carrying out EICR following electrical installation assessment within properties
• Periodic testing and wiring installation of new heating systems in domestic and commercial properties
• Providing high levels of customer care when dealing with tenants and clients
• Ensure all Health & Safety requirements and legislation are followed including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records.

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience as a qualified electrician
• Experience in wiring central heating systems.
• 18th edition Qualification
• 2391 Test & Inspection or Equivalent
• Part P is desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence
• No unspent criminal convictions (DBS Check to be carried out on offer of employment)

Package

• 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
• Overtime paid at an hourly rate.
• Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided.
• Salary: £41,000 per annum
