Job summary

Sanctuary is seeking an Electrician to join our Leeds team, covering West Yorkshire. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a company van and tools provided.

You will carry out remedial and inspection works on occupied properties, respond to emergencies, and complete certification paperwork. The ideal candidate is NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent), with valid UK driving licence and knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 and inspection/testing regime (2391 or equivalent).
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations is essential.
• Current or ongoing BS 7671 (18th Edition) is required or in progress.
• Full UK driving licence is required for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations and attend service interruptions.
• Inspect and test properties for safety and compliance and complete remedial work.
• Prepare and file certification for works carried out, with paperwork accuracy.
• Maintain van stock and keep tools/equipment in good working order.

Electrician

£41,192 to £43,360 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our team, working across West Yorkshire areas. This role offers a mix of working independently and as part of a team, with a wide range of responsibilities. You will primarily be responsible for carrying out remedial and inspection works on occupied properties, as well as attending emergency breakdowns and service interruptions. A company van and power tools will be provided, and training will be offered as needed to support your development.

The role of Electrician will include:

• Responding promptly to emergency situations
• Inspecting and testing properties to ensure safety and compliance, and completing any necessary remedial work
• Completing all associated paperwork and producing certification for the works carried out
• Monitoring and maintaining appropriate levels of van stock, while ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in good working condition

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 3, inspection and testing 2391 or equivalent, BS5839-6, BS5839-1, BS 7671 - 18th Edition or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
